Thank you very much for booking Ogama Guest House. We hope you will have a relaxing time in Shigaraki.
We would like to ask you a few things about your stay at Ogama Guest House.

About the staff

We do not have a regular staff at this guesthouse. Therefore, we ask our guests to enter the guesthouse and check in and out by themselves.
Please read below for instructions on how to do this.

About Parking

Guests who have reserved a parking space should park in the designated area of parking lot #2.
This parking lot is shared with the Ogama Store parking lot. Please note that if you arrive earlier than your check-in time, your parking space may not have been reserved yet.

Check-in

Our facility operates with a self-check-in system. In the automatic confirmation email you receive after completing your reservation, there will be a link with check-in instructions. Please access the URL and complete the check-in process before your arrival. You can enter the required information at any time before your arrival, so no additional procedures will be needed on the day of check-in.

チェックイン

*Please note that providing check-in information is required by law, so we kindly ask for your cooperation.

*You will find your PIN in the auto-reply e-mail you will receive after check-in is completed. Please keep it in a safe place until the day of your stay.

*Check-in time begins at 16:00. There is no need to inform us of your arrival time. However, if you need to cancel your stay on the day of arrival, please contact us.

Initial entry to the room

There is a smart key that locks automatically at the entrance to the accommodation area. When you arrive at the accommodation, unlock the smart key first. The passcode is shown in the auto-reply e-mail you will receive after check-in is completed.

【Unlocking sequence of the smart key 】

  • 01.Touch the numeric keypad.
  • 02..Enter the "one-time password (5 digits)" provided by email.
  • 03.Press "*" to complete the process.

*The one-time password is only valid when you enter the room for the first time. Once you enter the room, the one-time password becomes invalid. During your stay, please use the card key provided.

When leaving the room

The entrance is automatically locked. After entering the room, please use the IC card left in the room to enter and exit the entrance. Please take the card key with you when you leave the room and be careful not to lock yourself out.

Use of the facilities

A welcome guide is available in your room. Please read it carefully as it contains information on how to use the facilities, including how to use the kitchen facilities, bathroom and water heater.

Meals

We do not provide meals, but you are free to use the kitchen utensils. Please enjoy your cooking time and make full use of Shigaraki's pottery. You are free to bring your own food and drinks.
As ingredients for hospitality, locally grown rice and asamiya tea, one of the five most famous teas in Japan, are included in the service, so please feel free to use them. (You can take away)

*Ingredients (free of charge): rice from shigaraki (1 cup per person) / asamiya tea (1 bag)

【Restaurants】

Of course, you are welcome to eat out as well. Please refer to the link here for a guide to restaurants in town.

About Checking Out

There are no special procedures when leaving the room. Please leave the room before the check-out time.

【Checking out】

  • Please turn off the gas main valve and water heater power.
  • Please put all used bed sheets in one place.
  • Please sort the trash and put them together in the designated area.
  • Before leaving the room, please check if you have left anything behind.
Caution
  • Please do not talk loudly outside at night.
  • Please do not enter other premises (neighboring residences).
  • Smoking is not allowed in the premises. Electronic cigarettes are not allowed.
  • Please separate your garbage.
  • Bonfires and fireworks are not allowed.
  • Pets are not allowed to stay at the inn.
  • Alcoholic beverages are not sold at the inn. Please purchase them at a local store.
  • Please inform us of any damage to the building or equipment as soon as possible. Please be careful when using any damaged equipment.
  • There is a first aid kit and flashlights available.
  • Parking is available for up to two cars.
